The Convent of the Carmelite friars of Montreal, was established in 1293, by the monks of Our Lady of the mount-Carmel, meadows of the door of Barcelona. Burned by English and the black Prince in 1355, the Carmelite friars were established with the site of the current old people's home. This convent remained until the revolution.
