MONTREAL
- Présentation
...Montréal
of Aude is beautiful city, that I affectionne particularly, because before
arriving there in Mars 1963, I had imagined it through writings, sights
and impressions exchanged with M° Loup notary of this charming small
city... My parents and me even planes easily conquered remotely and the
acquisition of this house (place Grillière/rue Victoire) had almost
been concretized from one bank to another of Méditerrannée...
We lived in Montreal many years, and even if the professional constraints
moved away us per moment, this small city indeed was our heart of fastener
so far. Raphael and Marie which always live "Caussade", remain
the legitimate representatives of our family, cordially accomodated there
is one well forty of years..., by its Mayor, Mr. RIBES and all its managed.
...La town of Montreal dominates the plain
with a 263 meters height, to 6 Kms de Bram, 9 Kms de Cailhau and from Razes,
17 Kms of Carcassonne... the territory of the commune extends on approximately
5 700 hectares from grounds belonging to the tertiary age (ditritic and marls).
In the South-east of this territory the plate of covered wood Malepère
is and which reaches sometimes 400 meters in height. In the north and the North-East,
130 m of altitude, the plain of Rebenty. In the West, a plate little timbered
and without river.
....Plus largely, the establishment of
the Site is single. One apperçoit, in North, the majestic Black
Mountain with the multiple facets and variable visual effects according
to time and the seasons (Saissac, then Dourgne, etc) In the South, the
superb small valleys to the chains Pyrenean Eastern and Ariegeoise (Soularac,
Carlitte, Peaks of Andorra, Madres and at the bottom Canigou) on the
right towards Ariège and Monségur and the solid mass of
Tabe. In the West, still chains of the Pyrenees, towards the Peak of
the South, Mirepoix, Pamiers, via Fangeaux that one apperçoit...
any meadows. As for the East, it is of course, Carcassonne and the City,
then Narbonne direction and... la sea
..Dans the pages which follow, I try
to devote a small place to the History of Montreal. It helps with better
smelling this city or discovering its known origins, around 1 162...
